Kevin is based in Fife, Scotland, where he works as a music teacher, professional drummer and freelance writer. At an early age he developed a passion for motor racing and became an avid follower of the sport. Kevin has had articles published in several racing magazines, in addition to his work at Suite 101. He is currently working on a biography of the Formula 1 and Indy 500 driver Jim Crawford.

Besides racing Kevin has a keen interest in history and travel. As a musician he has worked as a session player with several well known artists. When not working he enjoys following the fluctuating fortunes of his local football team Cowdenbeath FC, known rather ironically as "The Blue Brazil."
